Last Sunday 6 MCC bowlers competed in the final day of the Yarra Region Over 60’s Singles.

The Men’s Semi’s involved Peter Marget defeating Scott Wellington and Tom Ristic defeating Ray Jansen for progression into the Final.

The Final between Peter and Tom was a hotly contested battle in some tricky conditions. After a couple of lead changes, Peter Marget came out on top to take the Championship.

In the Women’s Final it was 2 of our new members, Alison Hall and Gillian Baxter battling it our for the Title. After gaining a bit of lead, Alison moved on to take the Championship in a great game.

Well done to both our Champions who will now go on to represent the Cub and Region at the State Championships in April next year in Bendigo.
